Biography

Dr. Bauerle is an Associate Professor in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University. He received his Ph.D. in Horticulture Physiology from Cornell University, his M.S. in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Washington, and his B.S. and in Landscape Horticulture from Colorado State University. At the present time Dr. Bauerle is involved in the development of remote irrigation scheduling via the integration of wireless node networks, remote sensing, and process models. Dr. Bauerle joined Colorado State in October 2007. Since 2001 he has developed tools for species and genotype specific water estimation and engaged in dynamic collaboration with nursery growers across the United States. He has published numerous refereed journal articles, one of which has been awarded the American Society for Horticultural Science Outstanding Ornamental Publication (2004).
